I wouldn't call following the legal approach anything near an harassment, @Elizabeth.
Once a premature cancellation was approved, you are obliged to pay the regular monthly fee for another three months following the date of cancellation as outlined in the German Telecommunications Laws and Regulations (TKG).
As the cancellation can/will only be processed by the time you provide proof of your leaing the country, the three months period could only start once you provided the "Abmeldebestätigung" to Vodafone. As you were only able to do so one week before departure, the three months are now most probably still in effect (would be easier to determine if you had quoted specific dadts/timelines though).

I do call it like that, cause is absurd that by "law" you are charging for a service you are not longer providing, because by LAW is not possible to extend the official departure letter. is absurd and dumb, so is harrasing and trying to steal money. I dont know what you mean with deadlines. I hav been trying to fix the cancellation more than 6 months before, and also the vodafone kundenservice is nothing close to good service.

Well, well, well...if I were you I'd be a little more careful when accusing someone else of criminal activities, as doing so without sufficient proof constitutes a crime in Germany that may get you fined or even imprisoned if followed up by the accused party. ![]()
It's actually quite simple: Before the TKG was revised, Vodafone could (and most probably would) have charged you the full sum you were obliged to pay until the end of your contracutal obligations (i.e. a 24 month duration of the contract). Simply because you as the customer would have made it impossible for Vodafone to fulfill the contract.
After the TKG revision you now have the advantage of only having to pay a mere three months "on top" as sort of reimbursement for the premature cancellation.
So instead of blaming everyone else and uttering insults and criminal allegations towards others, how about you just accepted that you signed the contract based on German Laws and Regulations and that they have their regular effect on you as well?

Are you threating me ? you as much as I know that this behaviour and way to write now, could be legally be taking as intimidation, so be also careful.
I am telling the truth, you say by law I need to pay because I needed to sent the letter earlier? by law I also can not sent this letter before a week, so which of the laws are functioning well here?
If is necesary I would do the legal stuff taking a lawyer with me, so I do recommend you stop trying to intimidate me.

Yeah, make my day.
All I did was tell you to be careful when it comes to accusations like the ones you wrote. No more, no less.
As for the rest: Let a lawyer handle this for you. Best idea you had recently. You will have to pay the lawyer and the three months fee as per German Laws. Congratulations.
I'm out of here. No use in trying to help people who so desperately try to be right and pretend to know it all when so obviously they are absolutely wrong and don't have much of a clue.

You telling you are out of here is also your best Idea so far.
You could think as you please, but is obvious how the one arrogant here is not me.

Hi Elizabeth,
in end of July you send us the de-registration as proof for your move. Afterwards you have received the cancellation confirmation for your contracts from us.
According to German law the contracts are cancelled with a term of three months after the moving date. This is also stated in the confirmation.
How to proceed with the cancellation was explained in this old thread. The cancellation of your contracts is confirmed to end of October. Until then, the contracts will be invoiced.
Regards
Stephan
