Cancelling contracts

Hello,

 

I am waiting to here back on a confirmation that all my Vodafone accounts have been cancelled. I have mailed our abmeldung for both mobile phones and internet. When I spoke to a representative on the phone he stated that once our abmeldung forms had been mailed then they could move up the cancellation date on all accounts. Now I have recieved an email that Vodafone needs our registration or lease of our new place to prove we are not living in Germany. We own our home in the United States so we do not have either of those items. I have tried emailing the first page of our mortgage and have not received a response. I would like our accounts cancelled as quickly as possible. Our first cancellation letter was sent in March and then I sent one again in April.

the cancellation for Internet & Phone has been processed. You'll get a confirmation.

Just as information:

Your cable contract might be cancelled prematurely with a 3 months period from the day you move (or the cancellation is received by Vodafone - the later counts) as Vodafone is not able to provide you any kind of cable service in the USA. Usually a copy of your "Abmeldung" stating that you go back to the USA is enough...

 

But the mobile contracts cannot be cancelled as you can still receive your contractually agreed services - even within the United States. You may pay roaming fees, but they are contractually agreed if using the mobile phones outside of Germany - so no right for a premature cancellation (for the mobile contracts)...

Thanks for the information. The internet contract and one of the cell phone numbers are not be cancelled prematurely, the 2 year contract was fulfilled.

Hello,

I just received a bill for September! I believe that my contracts should be canceled by now as we haven’t lived in Germany since July 19th. The two years of our contract have also now passed. Could you please help me with this? Thank you!
