Cannot connect to mail server

Hi,

  I am trying to configure mozilla thunderbird email client. When I tried to connect to the email server. with the following settings

 

Incoming      Outgoing

IMAP/POP      SMTP

Port : 993        465

SSL/TLS      SSL/TLS

 

I am not able to connect. If I try the same thing using my mobile internet, I am able to successfully connect. Which means there is something wrong in my modem settings or it is getting blocked at the ISP level. Can you please help

disabling a firewall always means a loss of protection, so you should get an own firewall or activate the firewall in your devices. You should find the bridge mode in the part "Einstellungen" -> "Interneteinstellungen" in the customer portal. You might need to cancel the Homespot option first, which takes seven days. While in bridge mode the router only works as a modem, so the firewall is disabled as well.

you can please make a ping plotter in the direction of the server and send a screenshot. I want to see where it stops.

Hi Moin,

   Ping is successfull. Please see the screenshot. Nothing wrong with reaching the server. I guess the problem is with the ports I am using for IMAP and SMTP.

Hello,

  As I said before, If I connect from my mobile (not wifi witu mobile data), I can connect successfully with the same port and other parameters.

I created a hotspot on my mobile and connected my laptop to the hotspot and tried. Again i was able to connect successfully. 

 

Only when I connect to my wifi(broadband), I am not able to connect.

it is possible that the server has a problem with IPv6. Mobile radio usually still runs on IPv4.

 

Can you please check this out?

if you have a cable router you may enable the bridge mode in the customer portal to get an IPv4 address.
