Hello Vodafone Community,

I am using Vodafone DSL connection since last 1 year. Now I am shifting to a new apartment in a different city.  And I want to change my DSL connection address from the old address to the new address.  So I need the following information,
1.  Where I can find a piece of concrete information about process for the DSL connection address change in Germany
2. Duration of this whole process
3. Where I book a technician appointment

I request all the Vodafone community to provide me with the required information so that I can start the process immediately.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind regards,
Sayali

The easiest way is to use the relocation service:

--> https://www.vodafone.de/hilfe/alles-zum-umzug.html

But please note that allocating the line in your new appartment can take 4..6 weeks, therefor it would be good to use the service at least 6..8 weeks before your move so that both, the deactivation of the old line and the activation of the new line can take place next to your movement date.

The process itself is usually done in less than a day - but you have these kind of notice periods as there aren't technicians available all the time and with this longer notice periods, it's very likely that there'll be a free slot to install the line. The later you notice Vodafone, the unlikelier it is that the move will take place in time.

Hello,

Good afternoon!

I have followed the process you mentioned in the last message but Unfortunately, the link you provided is not working and showing me the error. I request you to please give me concrete information on DSL connection transfer.  My new address details are as follows,
Name: Sayali Kxxxxx
Customer no: 0xxxxx

Old Address: xxxxxx
New Address: xxxxxx

I need an internet connection as soon as possible as the need to do the work from home from 04.01.2021

I request you to please take my request into consideration so that I can move my DSL connection as soon as possible. I am happy to provide any additional information you might need.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,
Sayali Kxxx

Edit: Personal Data removed as you are posting here in a public forum!

First thing:

This is a public forum and NOT a support chat - so please DON'T post any customer data here as they are visible in public!

Secondly:

On the link that I posted, there is a "DSL-Umzug" button that should redirect you to the form where you can select your contract and enter the new address details.

And lastly:

It takes 4..6 weeks for a relocation to be completely processed - so there's no way that your line will be active on Jan 4th. You are far too late to report the move in order to get the line activated for that date! If you report the move right now, I'm pretty sure that you will have to wait until end of January or even mid of February to get the line activated.

Hello,

Thank you for your update. I tried the follow the instructions on the website provided. Unfortunately, I didn't received my online registration code by post or by Email.  Because of which I am not able to finish the DSL connection address change process.
I request you to please provide me with some details. So that I can complete the process.

Kind regards,
Sayali

You MUST have received the information needed as the MIC/Modem Installation Code is also contained in the same letter - and you cannot set up the DSL line without the MIC.

The other way would be calling the customer hotline - but you'll mostly need to speak German for that.

Thank you for your update.

Is it possible to know the contact number of customer care in Germany?

From German phones: 0800 172 1212 (free of charge)

From international phones: +49 172 12 172 12 (charges as for a call to a mobile line in Germany)
