Hi, I am an Indian passport holder, i bought the CallYa sim card for 9.99 euros from local super market but I am not able to get it activated. When I call the WebId for online activation they say that they don't accept Indian passports, I even tried to directly go to multiple vodafone stores but they also refused to activate it and said that as i have not bought sim from that store they cant activate it and one of the guy from store even said that if I pay him 20 euros he will activate it. Please let me know to get this sim activated. I tried calling vodafone support but its all in German and I am not able to understand what options to choose.

Same problem mate. seems like this is a joke that dont accept indian passport which is a valid document using which you have immigrated in Germany. They don't care about it. Tried contacing several numbers email chats and what not. Went to different vodafone stores and even german post for verifying the passport offline but they cant do it. It a problem from thier end that they cant verify using the indian passport. I bought the vodafone sim card cause of the brand name which symbolizes the trust and reliablity but its a shame that i cant even use the card.It has been a headache and now coming across what you guys have gone through i dont think they will be able to help me either. Such a bad experience with Vodafone will not recommend anyone to go for it.
Such poor customer service.

The German version of the website to activate the CallYa sim card doesn't seem to have India as an option under Nationality. The English version does have it though. You can switch to the English version from the website or try this link:
https://www.vodafone.de/shopreg/idreg_callya/index_en.do?request_locale=en
However, when I tried it last year, there was an error in the next step. Since the website didn't work, and the Vodafone stores refused to activate it as well, Vodafone offered to refund the amount to me as a credit after I purchased a new Vodafone sim from a store directly. They were quite nice about it too.
Hope you can sort it out as well.

Hello @Akshay015,
Unfortunately, an Indian identity card is not accepted for online identification.
Registration of a CallYa card with an Indian ID card is therefore only possible in Vodafone shops.
Here you can find shops in your area: https://www.vodafone.de/filialsuche.html
Best regards

Then what am i supposed to with the sim card that i have if i can't get it activated. Will you refund my money???
Also, i have already walked into several vodafone stores and they have clearly stated that they can't activate a sim crad brought outside of thier store. Also, reading the community formus it is clear that it is senseless to go to the vodafone stores as others have already tried it and have failed misrable. Another point to be considered is that they demand extra money to activate the card which makes it pointless. I would rather buy a simcard from another network provider than using this irritating network where i cant even activate y sim card !
Also , if you like me to walk into a vodfone store kindly make an appointment on my behalf stating that they will activate the sim card and provide me with the location and time slot of the appointment.

Hello @Akshay015,
I'm sorry, but I have no way to make an appointment for you.
Definitely, all Vodafone retailers can activate all Vodafone cards. But of course they also want to sell their own products.
If you bought the card elsewhere, the retailer can of course invoice the activation service.
Now that all shops are closed, I cannot offer you a solution at the moment. As sorry as I am.
If you would like a refund, please send the card to us and provide us with a bank details for the transfer.
Sorry
Best regards,
NeNa
