Check your bill for any sign of what causes the excessive amount.
But please be also aware, that your contract may include only a limited amount of months with a reduced fee at the start (usually 6) and then increases to the regular fee of the chosen contract.
E.g. you get 6 months for 19.99 € and then it increases to the regular price of 39.99 € or so (depending on the tariff plan).
And the other thing: Not all calls are included in landline contracts - usually only calls to other landline are included in a flatrate, calls to mobile numbers are charged on a by call basis. And calls abroad are not included at all if not special options have been chosen.
