Hallo zusammen,
ich habe ein Problem mit Vodafone und hoffe auf Rat, weil die Situation sehr verwirrend ist. Hier ist der Ablauf:

You have a missunderstanding of your initial contract.
Contracts are NOT automatically ending after 24 months as you imply, but instead you signed an infinitely valid contact with a minimum term of 24 months. Thus the contract will run forever as long as not one of the parties is actively sending a cancellation.
Next problem: Vodafone stores are NOT part of the support service, thus they are NOT the right place to put any kind of cancellation notices or hand in information like a movement notice or deregistration letter. These information should only be directed to the official stated support addresses.
And to your last question:
If the store let you sign something, it might be that it wasn't the cancellation notice but a contract extension - and that someone else took the mobile phone if handed out.
And in case you really handed in no cancellation before December 2025, then you would have -at least- to pay for another month after you handed in your cancellation as there is the one month cancellation notice period -- no matter if your contract was out of the minimum term or if you handed in the movement / deregistration notice.
