Hello All,
I am located in the state of Bayern, Germany. I have requested for downgrading my tariff from Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable to Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable after using the former for 8 months. The vodafone team has considered my request and changed it but they have reset the contractual period which I do not want.
Q1) Is it possible to change back to my old contractual period under the new tariff (i.e. Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable) ?
Q2) If that is not possible, atleast can I change back to my old contractual period under the old tariff ( i.e. Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable )?
Q3) How many months bill/fine should I pay to end the contract when I am leaving the country permanently?
Some more details:
Initial contract start date (Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable) : 01/11/2021
The initial contract supposed to end on : 01/11/2021
Requested date for a tariff change: 08/07/2022
The request approved on: 11/07/2022
The new contract started on (Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable): 11/07/2022
The new contract end date: 11/07/2024
Thanks!

Yes, that applies to every tariff. You don't have to cancel, just report your move. As soon as you have received the official deregistration certificate, you can then submit a copy, photo or scan of it.

If you, as a new customer, had ordered the downgrade by the last day of the 6th month of the contract, the minimum contract period would have remained the same. But since you only switched in the 8th month of the contract, you unfortunately have to live with the new minimum contract period. But you can now switch to the Cable Max 1000 for the permanent price of €39.99 - but again with a restart of the minimum contract period of 24 months. Vodafone will charge you a one-time fee of €9.99 for the early change of contract.
If you downgrade via the hotline, you can of course revoke it within 14 days, and the old status will be restored, both for the duration and for the price.
If you move abroad, you must give one month's special notice period, but you can notify Vodafone of this in good time so that the contract ends on the day of the move. However, you must submit a copy of the official transfer or deregistration certificate, only then will the contract be terminated retrospectively. First and foremost, it is important that you notify us of your move as early as possible, because the deadline of one month applies from the date of receipt.

Thanks alot for your very quick and clear answers to my questions.
May be, I have a last question.
"If you move abroad, you must give one month's special notice period, but you can notify Vodafone of this in good time so that the contract ends on the day of the move. However, you must submit a copy of the official transfer or deregistration certificate, only then will the contract be terminated retrospectively. First and foremost, it is important that you notify us of your move as early as possible, because the deadline of one month applies from the date of receipt."
Will your answer for the question "moving abroad" still valid with the downgraded tariff?
or is there any minimum period that I have to use it before terminating the contract?
In any case, I will be notifying three months in advance for the termination.
thanks again!
Sudheer
