Pay monthly invoice for cable contract with bank transfer instead of SEPA

I moved into a new apartment, and I am taking over the cable contract of the previous tenant. I am filling out the contract transfer form and it has a section stating that payment will come from a SEPA mandate. However, myy bank account is not from a country that is part of SEPA. Is it possible for me to instead pay the monthly invoice with a bank transfer? If so, how should I declare this on the contract transfer form?

I would strongly recommend that you get a bank account in Germany - as payments from Non-SEPA bank accounts from outside the SEPA area to German bank accounts (like Vodafone) can be very costly - this can be 20 or more Euros of service payment for a single bank transfer as you have to pay all the charges involved with the payment.

Hello BananaJam,

without SEPA mandate a contract transfer is unfortunately not possible. A valid bank account is always required for this, from which the invoice can be debited.
