Getting an activation code is a nightmare. I didn't receive it when the router was shipped. I requested it online twice, but still nothing. I can't believe I have to call for something so simple. What's the point of the Request activation code option if it doesn't work?

If you got the router from Vodafone, you don't need an activation code. The router is activated. The only reason for a code is, if you use your own device. 

If the connection is not usable, call the hotline and tell them, that "selfinstall has failed". In this case a technician will show up and fix the issue.
