Hallo, Ich brauche eine feste IPv4-Adresse für mein Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable.
Ich spreche kein Deutsch. Wenn mir jemand auf Englisch helfen könnte, wäre das perfekt.
Danke!

You have to buy your OWN Fritzbox Cable and activate it with the activation code that you can find in the order confirmation. It doesn't work with the loaner.

This is quite ridiculous, why I can't have the IPv4 with the Fritzbox from Vodafone?

Because this is only possible with your own router.

I understood that. But why is it not possible? Technically speaking, why Vodafone imposes DS-lite on a device that supports IPv4? I understand the scarcity of IPv4 addresses, but I believe that not many clients would want to change from DS-lite anyway.

more than you think 😉
On HomeBox routers VF KD can directly use the their phone infrastructure via internal IP connection. If the customer use an own cable device, the phone system is only reachable via a public IPv4 address, so VF has to provide this to the customer 😉 That's, why you get a public IPv4 address with your own cable hardware.
