My contract tariff was changed on 8th June 2020. The tariff change document "Ihre Tarifwechselbestätigung" confirmed the start date of the tariff as 8th June 2020 and the minimum duration of the contract being 12 months. This is because the tariff change was made based on a clause in the original contract. My original contract was for 24 months at 1000 MBits and explicitly allowed for a free downgrade to (200/400/...) MBits after 1 year. There was no clause in the original contract pertaining to contract extension as a result of tariff change.
However, now when I try to switch to Telekom Fiber, I am informed my contract can be terminated only on 8th June 2022. This is an error. Please help.

Hi Thomas,
I received a new "Kündigungsbestätigung". The contract end date is "12. März 2021". Thank you!
I wanted to double check this, just to be sure it was not an error? The "Frühestmögliches Vertragsende" is 08.06.2021.

the confirmation is correct. The contract will be terminated on 12.03.2021.
