Can you confirm that the overlapping charges won't happen?

My new contract says that it will be effective from 6/4, but my old contract is not yet over until the end of July. When I called customer service the day before yesterday, he said there will be no overlapped charges, can you please confirm this for me?

I am using Vodafone products for the whole time, it's not like switching telecom, it shouldn't be any overlapping problem, right? It's not acceptable!
