Can I get the new, lower rate for Gigabit?

Today is the last day to request a change in contract.

New Gigabit deal is 0 for first 6 months, 49.99 thereafter. My rate is higher.

Can we change the contract for the improved rate?

You cannot switch to the current gigabit tariff if your contract is still in the minimum term. It is only possible to change to one of the smaller tariffs mentioned in the order confirmation as of the 7th month without changing the minimum contract period.
A price downgrade is only feasible at the end of the contract period.

In this case, you should check out MeinVodafone (as a VFW / ex-UM customer) or MeinKabel (as a VFD / ex-KDG customer) to see if you are being offered a loyalty tariff or something similar.
However, you will only receive new customer conditions via customer recovery after a termination, they cannot grant the mods here, nor can you receive them via a tariff change in MeinVodafone / MeinKabel. There are only the tariffs at the regular list price without free months.
