Impossible to change from DSL to cable

Last week a representative from Vodafone came to my apartment and told me that I had to change my current contract (GigaZuhause Basic 100 DSL) to a fiber-based connection due to an improvement of the network in the area.
Since he was often mixing the terms "fiber" and "cable" I have specifically asked if this was really fiber or cable. I also specified to him that I cannot make any cable contract because I do not have the required connection in my apartment. He confirmed that this change would have been for the fiber, and not for the cable. Then he asked me to confirm my personal data (including my IBAN). In the end, he gave me a copy of the document that he filled out (here I would like to remark that I have not signed anything) and he told me that I would have received more specific information via post in the following days.
After he left, I translated the document and I found out that this person thicked a cable-based offer in the document (GigaZuhause 100 Kabel) and also gave me, and wrote, erroneous information about the costs of the offer. So I thought that I could have waited for the additional documents, and then asked for more clarification. Instead, today I received at home the modem for the cable connection, and tomorrow some technicians sent from Vodafone are supposed to come to my apartment to install the modem.

Now, as I said, no installation can be performed since in the entire apartment there is no socket for the cable connection. Thus, I am now worried that I risk remaining without an internet connection because of this issue. I am trying to get in contact with customer support via phone, but no one is answering.

Can someone please clarify with me what is the situation and how should I proceed in order to keep my current offer (GigaZuhause Basic 100 DSL)?
I would also like to mention that none of this appears in "MeinVodafone" (no order, no change of offer, or else).

Hi dcarta,

first of all you have the possibility to cancel the contract via our contact form. You can also contact our support on Twitter or Facebook to get help directly.
