Do you own an EasyBox 804 or 805 and wonder what the LEDs signify? Maybe one of the lights suddenly starts pulsing or blinking differently. The color changes from red to green—does that indicate a problem or is everything fine? Here, you'll find all the information you need about the LEDs on your EasyBox.
The LEDs on your EasyBox 804 or 805 give your router a voice. There are five LEDs in total:
- Power LED
- Internet LED
- WLAN LED
- Telephone LED
- Error Diagnosis LED
The topmost LED is the Internet LED for all five indicators. Usually, it's inactive when the device is in power-saving mode. If a problem arises, this LED will light up.
The Power LED
The red LED at the bottom of the EasyBox indicates three different states:
- Steady light: The EasyBox is powered on and ready to use.
- Pulsing: The device is establishing a connection or there is an issue with the Internet or telephone connection.
- Blinking: There is a problem with your EasyBox—contact our service team.
The Internet LED
The Internet LED provides information about your Internet connection status:
- Green light: Connected to the Internet.
- Blinking red: No Internet connection.
- Pulsing green: Establishing an Internet connection.
The WLAN LED
The WLAN LED tells you whether your Wi-Fi is active and functioning properly:
- Green light: The EasyBox is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Pulsing green: The EasyBox is inactive due to an enabled Wi-Fi schedule.
- Blinking green: The EasyBox is establishing a connection via WPS key.
The Telephone LED
The Telephone LED shows whether you are on an active call and more:
- Green light: You can make calls.
- Pulsing green: You are currently on a call.
- Blinking red: A telephone connection cannot be established.
- Blinking green: You are receiving a call, or the phone handset is off the hook.
The Error Diagnosis LED
As the name suggests, the Error Diagnosis LED lights up when there are issues with your Internet connection:
- Red light for Telephone: Please restart your router.
- Red light for Internet: Please check the cables on your EasyBox 804 or 805 and restart it.
Can You Turn Off the Router Overnight?
Sometimes blinking lights can be annoying. In general, you can turn off your router temporarily if you don't need Internet, telephone, or Wi-Fi at the moment. This also helps save energy.
To summarize, here's what you've learned:
- You now understand the LEDs on your EasyBox.
- You know what the colors and blinking patterns mean.
- You can turn off the LEDs if needed.
