Hallo,
Have recently signed a Vodafone contract for cable internet+telephone (200 mbits/s). I have received by DHL my wireless cable router from Vodafone (a brand new device) and plugged everything in correctly (the power, WIFI and Internet LED are light up white). When trying to connect to the internet, I needed first to activate it, using the information I received with my router. After doing so, the following error message appeared:
"Leider können Sie die Aktivierung dieses Gerätes nicht durchführen. Es handelt sich bel dem Gerät um Eigentum von Vodafone Kabeldeutschland, wlches bereits einem anderen Kunden zugeordnet ist. Bitte wenden Sie sich gegebenenfalls an Ihren Verkäufer."
After calling the technician hotline, he told me that it was a simple fix as the the name associated to my wireless cable router was not mine and needed to be changed to my own. I called another hotline to acheive this, where I was told that a technician needed to come to my house to fix it, as it was a hardware problem.
Calling back the technician hotline, I was again told that he did not needed to come as it was a simple error in Vodafone's data entry.
Of course, as of now, I still do not have internet access.
So, how do I fix this? Has anybody seen this problem before? I tend to believe the technician, as everything on the hardware side seems OK, but I can not convince the people on the other hotline to help me...
Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hello laniel,
has the technician been with you yet? Or did you solved it by yourself?
If it didn't work out with either one, send me your customer dates.
Regards
Jens
