I have a technicolor cga4233de wifi router and a genua wifi card.  When I try to connect to my laptop through the genua card to my company VPN it just hangs and does not connect.  I have read of similar instances on the forum one solution suggested is to enacT IPv4 dont know if that will cure the problem.

Hello Ste5,

the line looks good. Please carry out a factory reset of our router.

Because of the VPN connection, have you asked the IT department of your company? Maybe they can see where the problem is.

Kind regards

Moni

Thank you for your help, I have tried to connect 3 or 4 times of the last couple of days, however, I still cannot connect the Company VPN.

Do you have any suggestion of anything else to try?

Regards

Hi Ste5,

do you get any error messages when you try to connect to VPN?

Have you checked with the IT department of your company? Our line is fine, it should work.

Best Regards, Manu

No I do not get any warnings or error messages, it just keeps saying Connecting but never actually connects.

Because I can connect through a hotspot on my phone my IT deptarment say there is nothing wrong with our equpment and it must be a router issue.

Steve

Hello Ste5,

your router is on IPv4, that means everything is fine from our side. You may try and activate the bridgemode in the cable router to check if the VPN works with that.

Kind regards,

Claudia

Thank you.

My company VPN will still not work, so I initially conected a Belkin F5D8635-4 in Cascade (LAN to LAN) with a different WIFI network.  Again my company VPN would not connect but I could get onto the internet from other devices through this Belkin WIFI.

I then selected Bridge Mode on the Vodafone Router, but then there was no Internet at all through the Belkin Router. I tried connecting the 2 Routers again LAN to LAN and also Cable Router LAN to Belkin ADSL.

How if at all can I set up my second Router to work through the Cable Router in Bridge Mode?

PLease if you can provide some advice it would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Hello Ste5,

is the external router connected to LAN port 1 and have you activated the bridge mode via the customer portal?

Over which VPN service do you want to connect to your company?

Best regards, Martin
