Left Germany 4 month ago, still cannot cancel mobile contract

Hello,

 

I'v left Germany on November 30th and requested cancellation of my contract at the same sales point and with the same sales representative who told me that I can cancel my contract once I leave Germany.

 

I received notice that I cannot cancel my mobile contract since I will be living in Amsterdam, but not to worry as I would not be charged any differently (voice conversation available). I thought it was ok if I wont incur any extra charges.

 

A month later I receive an invoive for 190 euros charging me for calling local bank/internet #s at international tarriff rate.

 

I called to request explanation (English line does not work - since 2016), I was told that this issue will be escalated on Jan 9th. 

 

I've called since then numerous time, and was told by several agents that they will escalate my issue and not to worry their managers will call me back.

 

On February 13 my phone stopped working (no data/ phone calls). I requested help to get my phone fixed, but no one could understand why it stopped working. Yet I was kept being billed and no news of the escalations.

 

In March I asked my German friend to call - during which they told him they can offer me a deal and will give me a call back to discuss it with someone who can speak my language. 

 

It's now April 2, its been 47 days that I do not have a phone (no one can call me and no data), no one called me back, yet I'm being charged and constantly reminded about paying my disputed 190 euros. 


Can someone help me understand what I need to do at this point? While I was writing this post - I've been waiting on the phone for 45 mins to get connected to an agent (pic attached)....

Hallo,

Its not possible to cancel the contract cause you can use the phone in Amsterdam.

Is it possible you called special numbers 0800, 018x, ...? Calling special numbers are very expensive. In the Nederland other numbers are special numbers.

You got an invoice about 190 €. Did you paid the bill?
If not, Vodafone locked the phone.
