Wrong billing by Vodafone Kabel Deutschland
wronglycharged

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day. Please, why is Infoscore forderungsmanagement GmbH harrassing me on behalf of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH? Why is Vodafone still sending me bills, when I no longer have a contract with them. My problem is that I have been receiving letters from the “infoscore forderungsmanagement GmBH” on behalf of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH. They said that Vodafone asked them to be collecting money from me. First, I did not owe Vodafone any money while I had a contract with them, and do not understand why I must pay such an amount of Money. I have called the customer care and non-seem to see the reason that I am being charged. I have already paid 174.33 EUR to the “Infoscore forderungsmanagement GmbH” on the 19th of August 2020 after they sent me several letters to pay this money.

Recently, they sent me another bill of 97.58 euro. I called the customer care of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH and they said that I was not supposed to pay any money, since I cancelled my contract as I was relocating from that city I was to another. I called the customer care of “Infoscore forderungsmanagement GmbH” they said Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH authorized them to demand these payments from me.

Please, I am writing for clarifications and for “Infoscore forderungsmanagement GmbH” to refund and pay back the 174.33 EUR they collected from me on behalf of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH. I will appreciate it if this is sorted out. Thanks, and best regards.

First thing:

Have you taken into account that you have to pay for at least the following 3 months after moving?

And have you sent back the rental devices in time?

Because the contract does NOT end at the day that you move but the earliest 3 months later (notice period in accordance with the telecommunications law) - and this only applies if your movement notice was sent before the actual move. Otherwise it's 3 months from receiving the movement notice.

Anyhow this only applies in case the contractual services cannot be granted at the new address - otherwise the contract moves with you to the new address and you'll have to keep it at least until the minimum contractual term (mostly 24 months) ends. And it does NOT matter for the premature cancellation if there are other internet services already available at the new location, it only matters if the contractually agreed services cannot be fullfilled at the new address.

I gave about 2 months notice because of the fact that I had to leave urgently to go further my studies. I wrote a letter to the vodafone office attaching my admission letter and they accepted my contract cancellation in writing and allowed me out. If you want the copy of this letter, I will send it to you. They never asked for any additional stuff or document when I was leaving. You are qouting a telecommunication law, a law you do not explain to your customers what is required of them.

Now, lets assume that I have to pay for additional three months, my bill was normally 29.99 euro which is roughly 30 euro pay month That is from February 2018 to february 2020. Three months amounts to 90 euro, why are they charging me 174.33 EUR? In the payment details from “Infoscore forderungsmanagement GmbH” who collected this money on your behalf, they were multiplying each charges by two. Is this not wickedness? Why can't you do business with some atom of fairness.

Not only that, they even sent me additional 97.58 euro bill. As a student, I find it difficult to feed, not to talk about paying bills that I no longer use.

By the way, do you people set traps for your custmers? Is it a crime for people to use vodafone? Please, I need my refund. I cancelled my contract the way it should be done and it was acknowledge by your firm.

In case you have not paid any fees for the 3 months from your move on, so these roughly 90 € -and- you have not sent back the router (depending on the model, fees from 60 € [simple cable modems, very old ones and not being delivered to customers from approx. 2013 on] over 100 € [standard cable routers, approx from 2012 on] to 160 € [FritzBoxes]) may be charged.

If your move was really that long ago, then you'd have to pay additional fees to InfoScore for the interest for this long time AND their additional fees for finding and contacting you.

About the telecommunication law: Paragraph 46 Nr. 8 explains what happens in case you move - there's no need for additional explaination in your contract as this is part of a law.

And please note: This is a customers-help-customers forum, I am also only a customer and in so far can neither access your invoices nor can I -as most of the people here- deal with Infoscore about what led to them asking you for those charges.
