Contract cancellation leaving Germany

Good afternoon,

I will leave Germany for work starting February 2019 and I need to cancell my Vodafone internet contract (to be in place until January 2019 end).
As I understood, in order to terminate the contract I should:
1) provide the city deregistration document —> here it is not clear to me who I should send this document to
2) Send back the router to a Nürnberg address.

1) Can you please advice me how/who to provide the deregistration paper to make official the cancellation? Is there kindly an email address?

2)In addition just a kind confirmation that this address to deliver the router is the correct one:

Vodafone Kabel Deutschland
c/o DHL Paket
Am Tower 222
90475 Nürnberg

Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Please keep in mind, you have to pay for three months (February/March/April) after leaving Germany.

Thank you. Do you know also how I can notify this to Vodafone? I have looked into the website but I did not find a way (maybe due to my bad German). Thanks

Not yet. I do not speak German and the website, despite trying to translate, is hard for me.
Where is the form to cancell? Is “kündigung” the right section?
There I can see, based on my understanding (bad in German), the possibility to change address, which is not what I need as I have to leave Germany.

Can you please send me the link of the final form to request the cancellation?
Or a mail recipient I can ask for the termination?

Hi Francesco85,

okay, then let's try something different. It might be easier for you. Please follow this link. This is our form to order a move.

Type in "Ihr Umzugstermin" the date of your move an click the button below for "Ich ziehe um ins Ausland" and then hit "Weiter".

On the next page fill in your data (name, surname, customer number, etc.) and then hit "Auftrag absenden".

Via this way you have to click less or fill in less text. A few days later you will receive a confirmation.
