Hi,
hopefully someone could help me with this situation.
Currently at my household we have a Cable connection at the name of let's call him Person A. This contract has been cancelled being the last day of contract the 4th of December.
Another contract at the name of Person B has been requested (through check24.de), requesting the start of the contract to be the 4th of December.
We have received the confirmation of the cancellation for Person A, and a letter by post of the confirmation of the new contract, however it mentions that it is planned for the 27 of November.
Questions:
1. How can we coordinate this so that we have the minimum disturbance possible in our connection?
2. As far as I understood I would need to arrange the 'Termin' with the technician the 4th of December for the new connection to be setup, he would bring the new router.
3. In the current connection we're using a Fritz, is it enough to connect the Vodafone Station once to free the Fritz's MAC address for the new contract?
If you need more details, please let me know,
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi i82orbom,
the technician can also come before the 04.12.2020 The contract is activated with the connection by the technician. So it could also come to a short double term. But this way you are online without interruption.
The own Fritzbox can also be used with the new contract. But you have to activate our device before the old contract, so that the own Fritzbox is removed. Only then it can be activated on the new contract. It must not be assigned to the other contract anymore.
Best regards

Thanks a lot for your answer. If I remember correctly from last time I did it, in order to be able to use the FritzBox the Homespot option needs to be disabled first.
The Homespot option comes enabled by default with the new contract, is there any way to disable it beforehand? As I think it takes a month from the moment of the cancellation request.
Thanks in advance again!

I would guess that you don't need any technician. The router can be sent to you for self installation.

Hi i82orbom,
the Homespot option can be deactivated in the customer portal This takes 7 days. But to activate your own box, the homespot does not need to be deactivated to my knowledge.

Thanks for your response. Would it be possible to check whether a technician appointment is necesary?
I'm trying to use https://kabel.vodafone.de/meinkabel/vertraege/terminvereinbarung/gotoLogin/terminvereinbarung
But it always fails with a 500 http error.

Hi i82orbom,
a technician will contact you in any case. He will also bring the new router with him. But he will contact you shortly before 27.11.2020. That should be enough then, right?
Best regards
Lars
