Hi

I have an issue for several days only when I connect to Vodafone router via my laptop and the connection constantly intruptted. I tried all online help over the internet including resetting the router or updating wireless driver. Neither worked. Is there any email so I can contact Vodafone in English since I am new in Berlin and cannot speak German and exhausted calling them with no German skills 😞

Thank you in advance.

Hello Mohamm6d,

are all WLAN enabled devices in the household affected by dropouts? Have the Wi-Fi frequencies been changed and tested? Which router exactly do you use?

Best regards Fred

Hi

No, only when I connect to the internet via my laptop. Other devices are work fine. But the issue is when I try to connect to another wireless network with my laptop everything sounds fine. It has the issue only when I connect to the Vodafone router. I am using Vodafone Station inkl. WLAN

Is there any English-supported email that I can contact with? It would be better than posting on this forum because I do not receive notification once you reply.

Hi Mohammad,

unfortunately, there is no other English-language support channel. Your email address was not yet confirmed and therefore you did not receive a notification. I have now confirmed the address.

Can you please do a factory reset with our router and then see if the connection is stable?

Regards

Wallace

Hi

Thank you for your reply. I confirmed my email but still do not get notification in my email. About the problem: I already did all possible scenarios and solutions. Also tried to move the router closer to laptop, did reset & factory reset. Also, reset my wireless adaptor, changed the power plan on my laptop, changed the location of device, turned off the firewall and so more actions, still not success 😞

Any other suggestion will be appriciated. thanks

Hello Mohamm6d,

if only the laptop has problems with the WiFi it seems there's an issue with the device. Are there disconnects via ethernet as well? Are both the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz network affected? Did you check the tips for WiFi improvement?

Kind regards,

Claudia

I already tried everything. But when I connect my laptop to two other hotspots, it works fine, only when it is connected to Vodafone router, it has issue.

In case you can only see one Wifi-Network from your Vodafone Station, try do deactivate "Band Steering" (visible in Expert Mode), then you shoud see two Wifi-Networks, one with 2,4 Ghz and one with 5 Ghz.

Then try to connect explicitly to one of them.

The "Band Steering" combines 2,4 Ghz and 5 Ghz into one WLAN, but compatibility problems with that funtion are not uncommon.
