I bought a new CallYa SIM from a Rewe store in Dusseldorf for my sister-in-law who is visiting from India (Indian Passport). The instruction booklet said I could activate it online or in any Vodafone store.
I tried to activate it online using multiple Android phones and Windows PC but I keep getting an error "Es sind Fehler aufgetreten!" (attached screenshot).
I went to 2 Vodafone stores and they refused to activate the SIM saying that they only activate SIM cards that are bought at that store.
How can I activate the SIM?

Maybe you have to register your SIM-card first at this website.

After that you have to identify yourself via WebIdent or PostIdent.
An identification in s Vodafone shop is also available. But that is free of charge! It's only allowed to sell credits (15€, 25€ or (unusually) 50€)
But then you'll find that money as your amount in your SIM-card.

I just got tagged by someone else who also had an issue. This thread could give the impression that the problem was never resolved. So I thought I should add that the Vodafone folks sorted it out for me within a day or two after I had started this thread. Good customer support at least through this forum!
