My New Giga TV Home Decoder doesn't have English Menu & Some Channels are Blocked!

Hi Team, 

1. On December 1st my old Giga TV box stopped working, so I connected the new box that I received a few weeks ago. 

To my surprise, I've found out that it doesn't have an English menu & all my Sky Cinema channels no longer exist! 

I contacted Vodafone, so they sent me another Giga TV box that should have had an English menu. 

Unfortunately, the device I received is identical to the one they sent before, with German as the only option to choose from! 

Clearly, it wasn't checked before it was packed & shipped! 

I'm not interested in making my apartment a storage room for Vodafone TV boxes (now I have 3 boxes that I don't need)! 

Can you please finally solve this problem? 

If not, just disconnect me from your service & I'll switch to another provider. 

2. I also found out that on the new box all my Basic+ channels (WB channels, Universal, SCI-FI, Sky One, etc.) are now blocked (on top of the Sky Cinema channels that also stopped working, & I was told that I should contact Sky to reopen them, but first I'm waiting for an English-speaking decoder)! 

Can you please fix this ASAP & send me a message afterwards (email or SMS)?

Hi,

 

you can change the menu language inside the settings:

"Main menu" -> "gearwheel" (Einstellungen) -> "Geräteeinstellungen" -> "Geräteeinstellungen" -> "Sprache"

There you can choose between german and english.

Support in Englisch gibt es über WhatsApp 

 

die Menüsprache der Box ist übrigens kein Vertragsbestandteil, daher wirst du deswegen nicht aus dem Vertrag rauskommen

Und wegen deiner Skysender hilft dir Skyweiter. Genau, und wegen einer Person wird mit Sicherheit nicht die Oberfläche umgeschrieben.

Thank you for your answer, but you didn't help at all: 

1. I tried their WhatsApp & their online chat, but in both cases you reach their bot, which doesn't support English, & refers me to the online form (that I already filled twice)! 

2. I'm already not obligated to a long-term contract since I'm their customer since forever, so don't worry about it. 

1. I already know that, but it's a very poor customer service! 

2. No problem, I'll disconnect from Vodafone & find another provider (probably more human & courteous than you). 

 

You solved my problem, thanks a lot! 

I can only wonder why Vodafone technical support employees don't know about it, & instead, just sent me a new decoder. 

However, now the only problem is with the blocked channels, but I'm guessing that you can't help with that.
