Hi, I borrowed vodafone router from my friend who dosent use it any more. I reset it and after entering the customer number and activation code, I'm getting this error. Can anyone help me with this?

As it says in German: This device is a rental device and your friend should've returned it.

Therefor you are unable to acitvate this device on your contract.

You will need to use the rental device that you got with your contract!

I didn't opt for rented router as my friend had it. He said that he bought the router and not rented it.

Vodafone does not sell router

and the router from your friend is still owned by Vodafone

you have to buy your own in an electronic market (Cable Fritzbox for example)

He doesn't use it anymore. Isn't it possible that he deregisters the station from his account and it gets assigned to me?
