Support Needed: IPv4 Issue After Tariff Upgrade

Hello everyone,

I am writing to seek support in English, which is why I am using the Vodafone forum. After upgrading my tariff from "GigaZuhause Basic 100 DSL" to "GigaZuhause Basic 250 DSL," I lost the IPv4 address that was assigned to me in my previous plan.

I was unaware this would happen because I already had an IPv4 address in my earlier contract and didn’t anticipate it being removed with the upgrade. As I work from home and require an IPv4 for setting up a home server and VPN, this has caused significant inconvenience.

I understand Vodafone offers business tariffs for IPv4 needs, but I was not informed of this prior to the upgrade and am now locked into a two-year contract. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue or explore alternatives?

Hello, 

in newer DSL-contracts IPv4 is not included for private contracts. 

If the IPv4 is warranted in your old contract and if you can withdraw the change (tariff change not longer than 14 days ago, change online or via phone - not in a shop), it could be a solution to withdraw. otherwise you can only ask for goodwill or change you tariff to business.
