I recieved this week my first bill after changing from "Internet & Phone Kabel 25" to "Red Internet & Phone 250 Kabel". The change was done last month via a telephone chat with a customer service professional.
In my telephone chat with the customer service professional, I agreed to monthly fees of €32,99 for "Red Internet & Phone 250 Kabel". I was previously paying in total €34,99 monthly for slower "Internet & Phone Kabel 25" including "Sicherheitspaket" and "Option WLAN". In the same telephone conversation, the customer service professional emphasized to me that the new contract was going to be cheaper than my previous contract with better internet speed. However, on reciept of the first bill, I noticed that the current bill included extra €5,99 related to "Sicherheitspaket" and "Option WLAN" on top of the €32,99 for "Red Internet & Phone 250 Kabel" . I did not agree to the "Sicherheitspaket" and "Option WLAN" during our telephone chat. I actually asked several times if the monthly bill would be €32,99 and mentioned explicitly that I would not allow any additional fees.
I have the following questions;
What is a "Sicherheitspaket"?
What is "Option WLAN"? Please notice that I do use a wifi router that I recently recieved from Vodafone.
Are the "Sicherheitspaket" and "Option WLAN" necessary given my setting as described above?
How do I stop this extra €5,99?
