Hi. How are you all?
I am writing here to 'seek for assistance' after talking to 4 people on the phone, 2 people at the store and 3 people via emails. I started to be in touch with the vodafone to cancel my contrat since last month, and I was told that I could only do that via post. For some reasons the letter did not get to the company and it was renewed automatically till January 2020. The problem I have with this is that I could not get my residence permit in Germany renewed since I am done with my study in here, and I am leaving the country in 2 weeks. For that reason, I am hoping to cancel my contract anyways as I will not be using the service provided by vodafone from my home state, Japan.
The question I have are
what should I do when the new address is outside of Germany
Is there any ways to terminate contract before I leave Germany

Je suis dans la même situation que toi. J'ai quitté l'Allemagne pour des raisons professionnelles. J'aimerais mettre fin au contrat avec Vodafone. J'ai reçu un message de votre part et j'ai entendu dire que je devrais passer beaucoup de temps. Mais en plus de cela, je viens de perdre mon téléphone et de leur fournir la preuve. Mais ces deux raisons ne semblent pas plausibles pour eux afin de résilier le contrat avec effet immédiat.
Pourriez-vous s'il vous plaît partager votre problème avec Vodafone?

is it a mobile, DSL or cable contract? Would be nice to get the information first.

Hi Norman and everyone!
I am terribly sorry for missing information...
my contract is called 'red Internet & Phone 400 cable'.
The problem I have is that I would be moving into my mom's place which is owned by my mom, therefore there is no new contract as I am just simply going home and my Japanese driver's licence is only in Japanese.
I hope you can help me out...

Hi Maru523,
you're in the right place. We can end the contract with a period of 3 months, beginning with the day of the removal. Send me your customer number, name and address in a private message.
Then you reply again here in the post.
