[English] CableMax 500 - new router received, but terrible ping and internet is hardly working...

Hello!

 

I have switched from Cable 200 to Cable Max 500, and have received all papers and a new router today. After having connected it to the cable, and also to my PC and WLAN devices, I have terrible ping numbers and hardly any internet connection. Can't even run any speedtests or even use the diagnostic tools on the router itself, although Router sais it is online and connected.

Can it be that the new contract is not activated yet?

And another question - shall I send the old router (Sagemcom) back to you in original package and with all the accessories?

Hello ontonivo,

According to the measurement, hardly any errors are visible in upstream and downstream transmission.Please leave a test in the morning and in the evening.  Gladly by screenshot. Please test via LAN directly at the modem, deactivate WLAN and disconnect all remaining devices from the network.

I think we just leave it as it is. Meanwhile it has stabilized and I do not experience any connection issues anymore. Probably it was just a temporarty problem which we can not track from today. Let's mark it as solved and in case if the problem returns, I will create a new topic with screenshots, etc.
