Cancelling vodafone cable contract

Dear Team,

I want to cancel my vodafone contract. I took the contract on July 2019 when I moved into my flat. It's almost more than 1 year now.

From August 2020, I moved to a new flat which is fully furnished and my current landlord itself providing internet for me. I cannot manage making payment to my existing vodafone contract. Also the tariff got increased after 1 year which is not managable for me.

I request the vodafone cable team to cancel my contract from August 2020 onwards.

Your contract has a term of 24 months and a discounted phase of 12 months. You can cancel the contract at the end of the term, but not earlier. Please think of the 3 month notice period at the end of the term.

And in addition to what @Torsten said:

A move is not a reason for a premature cancellation - your contract will move with you in case the contractual agreed services can be granted at the new address, no matter if there is already another internet line or not.

 

Only in case the contractual services cannot be granted at the new address, you are given a right to premature cancel the contract with a notice period of 3 months beginning from the date of your move but not earlier as by the date that your relocation request has been received by Vodafone.

 

Just one addition:

In case you got granted a downgrade right, you may downgrade for the 2nd year to a lower speed with a lower price - if I remember correct, the lowest possible is the 50 MBit/s plan for 29.99 € per month. But this only applies in case you got this right to downgrade...
