Port Forwarding

Hello, 

I live in Frankfurt and have the 'internet and phone 1000 bundle' plan using the TG3442DE modem. 

I am a teacher and now must work from home. Before our students were sent home (due to the pandemic) our school has purchased 100 minecraft licenses which worked excellent while on the school network wifi (all students at school). 

Now that we are all learning from home, trying to 'host' a server from home is impossible as minecraft requires port 19312 to be open. Only maybe 2/10 students can connect to my server when I host. 

Is there a way to port forward 19312 on my router? I watched some youtube videos on how to do this but the option is missing on my router. 

If someone from Vodafone could email me instructions, I would greatly appreaciate it.

There's a simple explaination:

There's no port forwarding on IPv4 base possible because you don't have a public IPv4 address as this is NOT part of your contract. Your contract only has a shared IPv4 address which you share with multiple other customers - so no port forwarding possible.

If you really need port forwarding, the only way would be to change your contract to a Business contract and add the option "Feste IP Adresse" (Static IP address) as this is the only safe way to get a public IPv4 (and thus be able to use port forwarding).

Except from that, you are not allowed to host any servers with a private customers line - this is only allowed if you'd have a business contract.

that is only the half truth...

if you buy your own cable Fritzbox (6591 or 6600) and add so called "power upload" option to your contract, you can ask for a dual stack connection (vodafone social media: whatsapp or facebook).

Your IPv4 will be pulic and you can setup portforwarding in this scenario.
