Hey!
I've been wanting to buy a Fritz! Box 6591 on Amazon, and use it with my internet connection (Red Internet & Phone 100 Cable), without using Vodafone modem included with my plan.
Is this possible to connect the cable directly to the FritzBox and use it as my router and modem, instead of the vodafone one?
Do I need any info/credentials to set it up? or is it "plug & play"?
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can. If you use your own cable router you have to replace it.
Please take care to buy a new one. At least your 6591 must have Article No 20002857
Only Plug and play don't work but it is rather easy.
In "old" Vodafone land you need a token to activate it.
In Vodafone-West (formerly Unitymedia) you have to call support and give them MAC-Adress and Serial No.
(Because I life in Vodafone-West I prefer social media)
