Hello,
I have recently closed my internet contract with Vodafone as I have moved abroad, there are some back payments to pay and I just received a letter offering a deal on the amount. If I am understanding it correctly, paying this deal would mean that the contract would carry on. Can anyone confirm if this is true? In which case, if I pay the full amount then the contract will remain closed (from the 11th of Jan)?
Letter attached.
Any advice much appreciated,
Kind regards,
Sam

It seems like your contract was not properly canceled. Even if you pay the full sum your contract won't be canceled, instead they keep you as a customer. So you should really check the cancelation date from yor contract. (End date should be written on the monthly bill)
Before you left Germany, have you send the router back to germany? Did you receive a letter about the cancelation of your contract cause you're not longer registered in Germany?

Hello panda22,
you received a settlement offer from us. That means, your contract ist still active. Did you send us a confirmation that you moved abroad? In that case, a special cancellation is possible and you don't need to pay the amounts until the contract regularly ends.

Dany

Hello Dany,
Thanks for your reply. I sent a Kündigung letter and received this response from Vodafone (attached). I didn't send the router back before leaving Germany though, so I guess I will have to pay for this.
As I understand it, this means the contract has ended on the 11th of January. I would be happy to have your interpretation too.
Regards,
Sam

Hi panda22,
I deleted your attachment because of the customer data, but saved it by myself. So I can confirm, that your DSL access has been cancelled to 11th January. The montly fee has to be paid until the cancellation date, so it's ok, if you transfer the amount of the settllement offer.
Finally, there is only one bill until the cancellation date and so it's finished for you.
I hope, that's comprehensible. If you have any questions, you can also send me a private message.
BR,
Dany
