Change network provider

Hello,

I already have a Vodafone prepaid connection and would like to change the network provider. I have asked the new network provider and they have informed me that I need to cancel the number from Vodafone and request a porting. I went to the local Vodafone store and they were very unhelpful. They said that I can only do it online but were unable to tell me how to do it or to which email do I need to send the request. Can someone help with the procedure on how to port my number?

Hi @Anudeep,

Changing your provider from Vodafone to another provider you have to fill out the InfoDok 233 (only in German) first.

Please be sure that your data (name, birthday, address) are correct. When your new provider send the porting request to Vodafone these data have to exact the same. 

Please also be sure that you have at least 29.95 € for porting fee. This fee will charged from your balance. 

I'm not sure but it could be that you will get a SMS from Vodafone that your mobile phone number is approved for porting.

At the latest Vodafone charged the porting fee you can do your order by your new provider.

If your phone number is released for taking along you will be informed by SMS.
