Slow speed on Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable

Hi there,

 

I have just subscribed to "Red Internet & Phone 1000 Cable" and I am getting a much slower download speed than that, and it also varies a lot, anywhere from 80Mbps to 300Mbps. Upload speed is low as well. I am testing on fast.com andCloudflare.

 

I just ran now (June 5th, ~ 10:30 am Berlin time). Attaching here the test results as well from Cloudflare.

I am using the standard Vodafone router (Vodafone Station WiFi cable router / Manufacturer arris / Model tg3442de) and I just ordered the FritzBox as well (should come shortly). I even tried my own Linksys Velop (connected to the Vodafone router via ethernet cable) but I still get the same.

 

I am on the 3rd day of my contract and I have a 14 days' right of withdrawal clause. Obviously, I'm not getting what I paid for, so unless this can be fixed, I will need to terminate my contract with Vodafone.

 

I have tried Vodafone's troubleshooting guide, didn't help at all.

 

Happy to share my postcode and address if that helps troubleshoot the issue.

Hello iraklis,

 

it would help to know your postcode. Are there differences in speed at all times? Please try also a test on speedtest.net.

It's 10557.

 

I will test later today on speedtest.net but I generally find this less reliable than Cloudflare and fast.com.
