Hello everyone!
I really want to change my router that Vodafone imposed on me for a new one.
Now new customers are offered a router with wifi-6 support, and in my house almost all devices work with this technology.
unfortunately, due to the fact that I can not install my router, I have to use what they give.
How do I change my current router (technicolor
cga4233de) to a new router with wifi-6 support (fritzbox router for 5 euros per month doesn’t interest me, I don’t want to rent what they impose on me)
I also don’t want to use two routers either, as this will require one more electrical outlet and may affect the quality of the Internet.

Hi Aragozin!
You can use your current router, because all of your devices work with this technolgy (too).
If your existing router doesnt work, report that to Vodafone, so they can check if they are issues with the connection. Another solution is the fritzbox router for 5 euros monthly, yes.

I am not happy with this decision.
For example, I have a PC and a VR helmet, both of these devices support wifi6 and I need this for the VR helmet to work correctly.
Since a router with outdated technology was imposed on me a year ago (and already at that time all my devices could work with wifi 6) and from the very beginning I could not use my router with wifi 6 support, this did not suit me.
today I am in a worse position than new users (and believe me there will be much fewer of them since I will tell everyone about this story so that in no case none of my friends use Vodafone services because of such an attitude towards customers) I am extremely frustrating.
If Vodafone cannot change my router, then I will refuse their services as soon as possible and in no case will I turn to them again.

You can have the router replaced at any time for a fee. Vodafone will charge you €99.90 plus €9.99 shipping costs for this. As an existing customer, you already have a cable router that supports gigabit. This does not have to be replaced. If Wifi6 means so much to you, you have to put up with the costs.

@Torsten 99? - is the fee not 30?
"Since a router with outdated technology was imposed on me a year ago"
Did someone put a gun on your head and screamed - sign that! ...
Its called buyer's remorse ...

@MasterScorpion Nope, it's 99,90 €:
Kosten Bestandskunden VFD/ex-KDG
Kosten VFW
However, I'm not sure if an existing Vodafone station can be exchanged for the Wifi6 station.
