Hey everyone,
Apologies for the english but I am only 2 months into my German course.
I am having trouple establishing a connection with my Kabel Router. I got the Red Internet & Phone Kabel 50. I received the router box and set it up with the instructions. But there is no internet connection coming through. I am plugging the Ethernet cable into my laptop and my laptop is receiving it, but no internet. I've entered the password to the network correctly, it then says 'secured, no internet'. I've also tried logging into the Kindenportal but I can't find any advice. I've also tried calling but I cannot get through to an English speaking agent.
Am I setting it up wrong, or do I need a technician?

I'd be happy to take a look at the connection 🙂 Do you send me your customer data (customer number, name, address and date of birth of the contract holder) via private message?

Hello Adam-Fitzsimons,
indeed a technician needs to come and finish the installation. You should receive a call for the appointment in the next few days. But I saw that there are only fixed line numbers, which probably won't work if the modem isn't installed. Please send me a mobile phone number and reply here again.

unfortunately, we can't make appointments for installation tasks. The technicians had trouble reaching you under your mobile number yesterday, but sent an email to your gmail address. Did you receive it?

I rang and booked a technician, he came and fixed the problem instantly.
Feedback; I think it should be more clear about if a technician needs to come or not. In the booklet that came with the wifi, it just said, 'if you need a technician, then we will call you'. That's useless and confusing.

Hi Adam-Fitzsimons,
indeed, mostly the installation can be made without a technician. Sometimes, as in your case, we do not know, that there is an issue in the house, because sometimes the documentation is not up to date.
But I´m happy to read, that everything could be fixed with the new antenna socket and your connection is stable.
