No internet and red flashing light

Hello, 

Today I recieved my router and tried to set everything up. However I get the red flashing light, indicating that the router is trying to connect to the internet. This has been going on for a few hours now. I tried calling customer support but for some reason I cant seem to call them with my foreign number. 

Any help is appreciated!

What router do you use and which indicator light is flashing?

The Internet light is the one flashing red. I believe my router is the WLAN Kabelrouter 200 mbit/s from the Vodafone website.

Perhaps it needs to be activated?
