Hello, I will be leaving for Deployment to South Asia on July 21st. I do not have anything stating my leave due to the fact it is a high risk deployment and i cannot give any information out. I will be gone for 16 months, so I would need to cancel my contract and return my router box.

And this is where the whole thing may become tricky.  If you have (or cannot provide) any document confirming that you are actually leaving the country, then Vodafone has nothing to work with in terms of a premature cancellation.

 

 

The regular(!) process would be (in short, more details to be found using the "search" feature of the board):

 

  • You de-register from Germany.
  • You receive your official "Abmeldebescheinigung" from the local authorities.
  • You send this to Vodafone in terms of proof of your leaving.
  • The contract will be terminated accordingly.
  • You return all and any rental hardware as specified in the received documents.
  • You will be charged with the regular monthly fee for the next three months after cancellation.
  • Done.
