Cancel my contract

Hello,

I have a cable connection and I wanted to move the connection to the new apartment. But in the new apartment there is no cable connection, so can i close the connects? Or is it possible to change  to DSL as only DSL is available in the new location. How long it takes for a new connection or change to DSL?
