Cancel contract options?

Hello, 

Apologies for writing in English but my German is not so good and I want to make sure I write clearly.

 

I have had Internet and Phone Kabel 25 since 2015. On my previous bills and in MeinKabel portal it showed that I had a booked option of  Mobile & Euro-Flat for 9.99 EUR. 

Last week I changed my tariff to the CableMax 1000 which was advertised to me as 39.99 EUR. 

When I tried to change my tariff online to the CableMax1000 it automatically added an extra 9.99 EUR for  Mobile & Euro-Flat, making the total 49.98 EUR. 

I do not want this Mobile & Euro-Flat with the CableMax1000 contract but I had no option to remove it. So I  followed the advice on this forum thread - 'Cancellation of contract options like Sicherheitspaket Termination' -   and sent a message to Vodafone using the contact form to cancel this option. (Before I changed tariffs) I also visited my local Vodafone store to confirm that I could change tariffs and would be able to cancel this option with 4 weeks notice and the personel in store confirmed this.

I received the new router for CableMax1000 on Friday and also a letter in response to my request to cancel the option saying that it is not possible to cancel this option, and it is built into my contract, and I can only cancel the whole contract. 

 

I have several questions. 

1) How else can I cancel this option?

2) If it is possible to cancel extra options with 4 weeks notice (as indicated on the forum and by the staff in the shop) then why does the response I received say I am not allowed to?

2) If the option cannot be removed from my contract then why was this package advertised to me as costing 39.99 EUR?

 

I would appreciate any advise on how to sort this out.

The Mobile & Euro-Flat is usually part of the GigaKombi. With this Flat comes a monthly discount, so that the Flat in total is free for you.

 

But for a closer look I need some information from you. Please send me a private message with the following information:

thanks for your dm.

 

As I supposed the Mobil & Euro Flat is free for you. As you can see in your invoices this flat is charged with 9,99 Euro per month and has a discount in the same amount. In total it's free for you.

 

You got this GigaKombi because you also have a Mobil Phone contract with us.
