Hello Vodafone Team,
Can you cancel an "Umzug" request (for Kabel Internet+Festnetz) that has been confirmed by Vodafone? Will there be any costs if the Umzug is cancelled?
Back story:
I am moving my residence from a shared apartment to a new address and I requested to move my Internet contract to the new address. I later discovered that I could transfer the existing contract to one of my flatmates. After this I received the Umzugsbestätigung. I now prefer to transfer the contract to another person in the house since that does not involve the 39.99 EUR Umzug cost.
Thanks!

Hi martinaxo,
a contract transfer is normally not provided for in cable contracts. After moving you could see if you can switch to a smaller tariff. The residents of the WG can then conclude their own new contract.
Best regards

Hi martianxo,
if the move's already been confirmed, it's gonna be a little difficult.
Are you just gonna do this to avoid the moving fee?

Hi Stephan,
>> Are you just gonna do this to avoid the moving fee?
That's one of the reasons. The other reason is I do not need the existing bandwidth of 200Mbps as I'm moving from a WG to smaller single family household. I wish to transfer the current contract to one of my current flatmates and take up a fresh slower contract for the new household. I hope something like that is possible.
Thanks and Regards,
martianxo

Hi Lars. Alles klar. I will then move the connection to the new apartment as planned. Thanks for your support!
