Switch between existing contract and new contract

Hi, I live in a flat in an apartment in Braunschweig. It currently has internet(16 Mbps) via DSL from a different provider and the contract is in my owner's name. I decided to get my own internet connection and have applied for a 250 Mbps connection to vodafone recently. I have got the contract request from Kabelcom Braunscweig and have signed and submitted already.

The existing internet connection will be transfered to a different flat in my apartment. Each flat in the apartment has one DSL link.

My question is, should I ask my owner to transfer the existing connection to a different flat before the appointment date with vodafone techncian for my new contract ?

Hey Braunschweig_in,

im glad that you've decided to get your own, faster contract.

Since you got a confirmation from Kabelcom Braunschweig, im pretty sure that you have ordered internet via cable - not dsl.

A dsl & cable connection are two different lines inside the house & can exist parallel.
So the landlord is not in a rush to move the existing dsl landline to whatever room/appartment it will be used in future.

I whish you a lot of fun with the faster landline 🙂

Stay healthy.

Cheers,
Andre
