Router return after contract end

Hi,

 

Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this but I wasn't sure how best to contact Vodafone support.

 

My DSL broadband contract is due to end on June 5th and i am required to send the router back to Vodafone 14 days after this, or pay for the device.  I am currently in England and due to the Coronavirus situation i had my flight back to Germany cancelled.  The earliest flight the airline is offering me for rebooking is now July.   Therefore i'm not going to be able to send Vodafone the router back by the 14 day target.

 

I do not wish to purchase the router so i would ask if under these exceptional circumstances I could return the router as soon as possible upon my return in July and not be charged for the device.

 

I'd appreciate if a Vodafone person could contact me to discuss!

I'm glad that we could help you here.

 

You don't need to contact us in order to extend the period.

 

The return of modem will be accepted as long as you send it back to us within 60 days, after end of the contract.

One good thing - right now, the period for sending back devices has been extended to 6 weeks - but this could not be enough in your case. I'm not sure if a Mod can extend this period any further - maybe you can ask someone to send back the device on your behalf in time?

Due to the current situation we have extended the period from 14 to 60 days.

 

So I hope this is enough time for you to send the modem back to us.

This is great. 60 days should be more than enough time for me to return it as I expect to be back in Germany in early July. 

 

Please let me know if i have to 'apply' for the extension or do anything else.  If not then thanks for solving this for me.
