Request help for speed change not activated.

Hello All, Good Morning. Today I changed my contract from 50 mbps to 100 mbps. The contract is changed and the new bandwidth is available but the speed tests still show 50 mbps. I have fritz box 7430 which shows max download 72 mbps. Can you please help me how can i achieve 100mbps. Thanks, Sachin N

Hi @sachinnadgouda2,

 

When did you change the contract? When today then it isn't possible to change the tariff within a day. You'll get a notification by mail (post mail, email) with the date your new tariff is valid. 

I changed the contract on 28 March and it got effected today.

I called the vodafone service they said the new plan is activated from today.

I also checked on my vodafone it shows the plan is activated.

 

But still i get the speed 50 mbps.

I restarted the modem as well.

@sachinnadgouda2, I see. Switching from 50Mbit/s to 100Mbit/s should be till noon normally.
Your router can be handle the new speed of 100Mbit/s?

Did you already get in contact with the customer service?

Yeah the modem is Fritzbox 7430 which show max bandwidht as 450mbps. and also 73mbps in internet.

I checked with customer service, they said the contract is already started.

Hey sachinnadgouda2,

if your router is syncing with 72 mbps- you should get 72mbps.

Mind doing a speedtest?
Do you get more then 10mbps upload?
Then the 100mbps profile is definitly active.

Are you using wlan? For testing purposes please do the speedcheck via lan.

Does Fritzbox 7430 support 100mbps connection?

I checked with LAN only and the speed is 50 mbps no going up.

The upload is somethimes 10 mbps sometimes 14, i would get that upload when my plan was 50 mbps.

Can i get a different router as this was for 50 mbps?

Hey sachinnadgouda2,

the FB 7430 supports up to 100mbps via lan.

Can you check with another laptop/pc?
Most likely there is something set up wrong with your network device.
