Hi,
I left Germany at the end of July 2020 and sent cancellation request at the same time which was approved as per the email I received.
I also sent the device back for which I received confirmation email. However, it is not showing on my online profile where they're still asking me to send back the device.
I have, since then, been receiving all bills for subsequent months. I paid the August bill thinking to leave a buffer period. However I am still receiving bills and now debt collection threats to pay the remaining bills.
Maybe I misunderstood the cancellation of contract?
I can pay a couple of months bill, but till what time can I expect these to keep coming?

For the invoices: It's 3 more months from the day you leave -or- the day your notice is received, whichever is later.
For the device: Have you got a tracking number? Please check if it says delivered - in that case, keep a screenshot until you receive a confirmation of receiving the device.

I have looked at it. We have asked you in writing to give us your new address. Unfortunately you did not tell us. Your contract was therefore cancelled as usual at the end of the term.

I have not received such an email. If you have sent this to me via mail, then I can not naturally receive it since I am not living at that address.
By end of term, do you mean the contract will end after completing 2 years? Is there a way to send you new address online? Although it's not in Germany, but I can still send it to you.

You can send me the proofs by private message. Best would be a rental contract for the new address. So we can see when you will start living in the new country. Post a short message in the thread when you have sent the PM.

I have sent you the requested documents. I have also sent the email that I received from Vodafone confirming the return of device.

I have adjusted the cancellation and cancelled your contract to today. Until today the basic fees are due. A final invoice will also be issued. Your device has arrived.

Thank you for the adjustments.
I would, however, still request to reconsider this. As you can see from the documents that I sent, I left the country on 30th July. I also sent the device back on the day before and the request to cancel the contract which was accepted.
I am willing to pay for a couple of months bill from that point just to close the account. But paying for 4 months when I haven't even lived there is not fair.

I am sorry, but retroactive cancellation is not possible. The cancellation has now been arranged.
