Hello, I am from India and would like to change my number from O2-de to Vodafone Prepaid.

I am unable to do it in the store because they say portability is only possible online for pre-paid.

When I try to register my nationality as an Indian, she is not available online in the drop-down list. Why is India missing only in the country list?

How can I transfer my number from O2-de to Vodafone Prepaid?

At present, you can only take your phone number with you in a Vodafone shop if you have an Indian passport.

This option is currently not available online. 😞

Of course it is not nice that you have been sent away in the Vodafone Shop.

Do you have another Vodafone Shop near you where you can go?

I have visited 3 Vodafone shops in my area and all ask me to take a 2 year contract if i need to take my number with me. I am not looking for a contract. If this is possible I will try another Vodafone shop.

Also do you know when would the option to take SIM Online would be available with an Indian passport.

I am curious why only India is not listed in the online option while I see almost all the other countries in the drop-down

Do you have any specific store in the Nuremberg Area where I can take new SIM with retaining my old number from O2.

Otherwise do you have any update by when will it be possible online to buy a new SIM from Vodafone?

Every Vodafone shop in Nuernberg should be able to do this for you.

I currently have no idea when it will be possible Online. 😞

My colleagues had also issue at Vodafone store. The person at store said he cannot activate prepaid sim cards because he is not able to find India among list of nationalities.
