Router activation

Hello!I made a contract for cable internet. The router arrived but I can't activate it with my laptop because I don't have a hole for the cable I received in the router box (yellow cable). What method can I use to activate it?

Do you have own router or did you rent it from vodafone?

If you  rent it from vodafone you don't need any activation codes.

Which Router do you have? Which LEDs are lighting?
