Hello, first off, apologies for the post being in English. I've just moved to Berlin so I'm slowly getting used to the German language and will continue to learn it but it's limited at this point. 

 

I have a question regarding contract activation, I'm not sure if this is the right location for it. I purchased a new internet contract due to slow speeds in the existing connection, which is provided for free by the furnished property I'm in. 

 

My new router arrived yesterday, a Vodafone station and I set it up correctly and managed to get the lights on the front to stay illuminated white. However, when I'm on the network, I get less than 1mbps of speed. After researching online, it seems like this is due to the contract not being activated.

 

What are the steps to do so? Will the existing internet connection cause me issues with this. I tried to call Vodafone support but the line is in German (obviously), so it didn't provide any help. 

 

For clarity, the other router that was previously here works fine and maintains a speed of 20mbps.
